      The Kogan Page site needed a full SEO roadmap to bring it up to optimal for the current search landscape with page templates needing to be changed to back to basics SEO best practices. We turned website performance from losing money to making money within 2 months.

      Kogan Page, a well respected International publisher, needed to bring their website up to SEO best practice, with the ever changing search landscape the website was being left behind in the SERP’s and as a result overall revenue was faltering every month. We had to change the pattern fast, this meant conducting multiple work streams to strategise along side creation & implementation.

      Site Restructure For Growth

      Along side planning content optimisation we have to ensure the current set up of the Kogan Page site and key category pages was appropriate for the optimisations this meant auditing and reviewing all page templates and working closely with the development agency to ensure the pages had a solid foundation for growth.

      Content Optimisations En-Masse

      The CMS was highly templatised which meant we could make changes a template level which would influence a greater number of pages than manually one-by-one, we programatically included horizontal & vertical internal links from parent & child category pages to improve the crawlability of the website leading to significant increases early doors.

      Back-to-basics Content Optimisations

      We reviewed all parent & child category pages and developed new, optimised, title tags, H1’s, H2’s & developed body copy to sit alongside the pages. Previously these pages had no body copy leading to a poorly optimsied page which with limited targeting capabilities – by including body copy we increased the relevancy of the page, used additional secondary keywords & also allowed ourselves additional internal linking opportunities.
